We are looking for a Supply Chain Officer to support the Supply & Logistic functions of the Martin & Pleasance Group. This position is full time and reports to the National Supply Chain Manager.
Responsibilities: Assist with inventory management to ensure optimal stock levelsPurchasing of raw materials supported by commercial analysisPrepare regular reports on supply chain metricsAssist with development of SOP/Demand forecastSuggest solutions for process improvements and cost reductionsChoose, build and maintain good relationships with vendors including determining their ability to continuously supply M&PLiaise with supervisors/managers daily on operations to ensure material supply is consistent with the production planAssist with management of logistics operations including warehousing, transportation and distributionEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to Natural medicinesExperience and Qualifications: Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum of 3-4 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the natural medicine or pharmaceutical industryGood understanding of supply chain management principles and practicesProven experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, and logisticsProficient in supply chain management software, preferably SAP B1 and toolsUnderstanding of accounting and financeAn ability to read and understand the supply chain agreementsYou have solid analytical skills and the capacity to interpret data for informed decision-makingYou pride yourself on having excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills while being able to work collaboratively within a team environmentYou like to create value and solve consistent issues with supply, planning and inventory controlYou love numbers, spreadsheets and preparing reportsYou have exceptional communication skills in order to deal with both internal and external stakeholdersYou have excellent negotiation skillsYou are pro-active and self-motivated with a drive to take initiative and improve processesIf you wish to apply and have all the above attributes and experience, we would love to hear from you with your covering letter, CV and the answers to the questionnaire accompanying this job vacancy.
