Moving millions of people needs the skill and commitment of a talented workforce.The RoleWe have a newly created position of Supply Chain Manager in our Operational Rollingstock (Mechanical Engineering) Branch for a positive, motivated professional.As the Supply Chain Manager (Rollingstock) you will be responsible for managing the supply chain for PTA's rolling stock assets by providing specialist technical support in the development and management of:High level rollingstock maintenance contracts.General procurement and purchasing.Inventory management, warehousing and logistics, disposals and minor capital projects.You will join an energetic, passionate and motivated team, your experience will be shaped with working toward rollingstock assurance, quality, safety and reliability of all rail traffic on the network to deliver for our passengers.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Tertiary qualification (or progression towards) in an Engineering or Commerce discipline.Demonstrated substantial knowledge and experience in contract development and management processes.Substantial experience in the management of complex and high value engineering projects.Proven knowledge of rail safety legislation.Highly developed leadership and supervisory skills including the ability to provide clear advice, direction and appropriate feedback to all organisational levels.Well developed, conceptual, analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills including the demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve complex technical problems and contract related issues involving a range of internal and external stakeholders.At the PTA, we hold five core values dear: safety, respect, recognition, integrity, and sustainability.
