About the roleWe are seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain professional to manage and develop our internal supply chain processes in support of optimising our delivery across key national Defence programs.
Working in close collaboration with a multi-disciplined stakeholder group, the Supply Chain Manager will lead a specialist team to ensure that supply chain services consistently perform against key metrics in safety, quality, schedule, budgeting and efficiency.
Your primary remit will be to act as the supply chain authority for all programs and bids within the L3Harris IMSA business.
Your day to day activities will include but not be limited to:
Developing strategic supplier, subcontractor and Australian Industry Capability relationships.Leading the supply chain team in warehousing, inventory control and freighting activities.Providing PMO, Business Development and Engineering stakeholders with a supply chain SME point of contact.Assessing current practices to identify opportunities for continuous improvement or best-practice alignment.About youTo be successful in this role and to best leverage the opportunities provided by L3Harris, some skills & experience ideal applicants will bring include:
Substantial supply chain management experience, preferably in the Defence arena.Knowledge of international import & export regulations.A proven background in stakeholder management and negotiation.Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.Membership of a recognised Supply Chain association would be beneficial.A proactive leader, with a keen eye for development opportunities and a passion for driving excellence would be best suited to the performance profile of this role.
