Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Full time Our ClientOur client is a large manufacturing business with a proven history of building strong relationships with suppliers, customers and local communities. They have seen consistent growth over recent years as a result of the consistent quality of their products and service.
RoleThe Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end supply chain operations for our client's Australian and New Zealand businesses. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure that products are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively and in alignment with customer demand. Key responsibilities include:
Design and implement fit for purpose supply chain strategies that align with business goals.Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously improve supply chain efficiency.Build a robust S&OP process from ground up.Identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with external suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to enhance collaboration and performance.Set Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with suppliers, monitor and manage with a view to optimizing performance and profit.Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.Analyse supply chain performance data and prepare reports for senior management.Oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management in a B2B environment.Optimize distribution networks to minimize costs and improve delivery times.Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency across logistics and distribution operations.Optimize late assembly processes.Manage the Upholstery team.Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop accurate demand forecasts.Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to ensure accurate stock levels to meet demand without overstocking and reduce excess inventory and stockouts (overs and unders).Skills Required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.History of step changing supply chain with operational discipline and improving inventory accuracy.Ability to build S&OP from greenfield state.Get in TouchIf you require more information on the role or if you have any further questions, please contact Nick at .
