As a fully owned subsidiary of Safran Electronics & Defense, Safran Electronics & Defense Australasia Pty Ltd (SEDA) delivers and supports various products including high-performance optronics and inertial navigation equipment.


Headquartered in Sydney, SEDA brings local expertise in the integration of optronics and navigation systems for the air, land and naval platforms of the Australian and New Zealand Defence Forces.


ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is responsible for managing all elements of the Safran Electronics and Defense Australasia supply chain process including procurement; purchasing; inventory control; distribution, supply support and export controls.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee and manage the SEDA supply chain operations. Develop and identify supply chain functions to ensure targets are met and opportunities are identified, that are aligned with SED's strategy. Perform supply risk audits and monitor local supply performance. Proactively develop key business partner relationships with local suppliers. Oversee the logistics and supply support plan. Responsible for the active management of Safran Electronics & Defense Australasia Export Controls compliance activities in relation to US Regulations (International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Maintaining the Export Controls Permit register and Export and/or Import permit applications. Assist in developing Australian Industry Capability (AIC) plan and reporting to provide solutions in enabling local supply chain network. Assist in developing/maintaining Intellectual Property management. Perform general periodic supply chain audits and analysis. Manage all people aspects of the department including recruitment, performance management, professional development, and support to individuals within the department. Description compl?mentaire QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Tertiary qualifications in business management or related discipline. Minimum 5 years' experience in supply chain management role. Sound working knowledge of export controls. Skills and experience working with ERP systems. Experience in processes under Quality Standards AS/NZS9001, AS/NZS9110, and AS/NZS14001 framework. Must be able to comprehend legal documents. Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Department of Defence security clearance and a Foreign Worker Authorisation. Established good working relationships with ADF organisations or local industries. Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and highly organised. Strong written and oral communication skills. Proactive, Autonomous, Rigorous. Interest in advanced technologies. Strong work ethic.
