We live our core values: determined, innovative, reliable and collaborative.Kongsberg Defence Australia are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager who will be responsible for the identification, sourcing and contracting of goods and services as well as the freight, logistics and warehousing of delivered goods to site. This is a leadership role and includes team members in procurement and warehousing.Main Tasks:Leading and the day to day management of the Supply Chain team.Managing the identification of potential suppliers of required goods and services to support approved Kongsberg Programs.Managing the sourcing selection to provide competitive options for the supply of goods and services for Kongsberg in Australia.Leading negotiations with suppliers to achieve the best outcomes for Kongsberg.Managing the contracting of suppliers through Purchase Orders of General Supply Agreements.Managing the receipt and storage of all material being delivered to site and ensuring stocktaking activities are undertaken in a timely manner.Managing the freight and logistics of material being shipped to and from site.Ensuring that the Supply Chain Team are trained in the use of the ERP system.Supporting the implementation and operation of the Kongsberg Production System based upon lean principles to ensure high levels of product quality and create a culture of continuous improvement.Providing the necessary reporting on Supply Chain Management performance for nominated Programs and at the corporate level.Liaising closely with KDA Subject Matter Experts based in Norway in support of Kongsberg programs being undertaken in Australia.Support the Director Operations in the development and management of budgets, schedules and provide the necessary reporting on progress.Required Qualifications and Experience:Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain Management or related field.Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Management (Desirable).Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Supply Chain Manager.Minimum of 10 years' experience working in Senior Supply Chain roles.Experience working in the Australian Defence industry (Desirable).Experience in manufacturing quality and lean manufacturing.Must be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.Must be able to access information controlled under the US International Traffic of Arms Regulations (ITAR).Deadline: Monday 11 November 2024 9:00 am AEST, please apply via the Seek Website.#J-18808-Ljbffr
