Bruce Rock Engineering requires an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team at in Forrestfield on a full-time basis. The Supply Chain Manager is a newly created role and will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the end-to-end supply chain operations of Bruce Rock Engineering. This role will involve strategic planning, coordination and execution of all supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory management, distribution, and logistics.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving process improvements, enhancing supplier relationships, ensuring stock availability and access across the Bruce Rock Engineering Group comprised of 4 sites within Western Australia and contributing to the company's growth and profitability.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and growth plans.Identify opportunities for process optimisation, cost reduction, and operational improvements across the supply chain.Manage procurement strategy and output, utilising the procurement team to execute supplier selection, negotiation of contracts, and ongoing supplier relationship management.Monitor supplier performance, ensure timely delivery of materials, and address any supply chain disruptions.Collaborate with all areas of the business to ensure production plans and schedules are met.Develop and execute inventory management strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimising carrying costs and stock shortages.Implement inventory control processes and lead efforts to improve inventory accuracy.Manage external and internal transportation, distribution, and logistics activities to ensure delivery in full, on time to internal stakeholders.Collaborate closely with operations, sales and marketing, and finance teams to align supply chain activities with business goals and customer requirements.Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and report progress to senior management.Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability.Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.Experience & Skills Required: Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain management including procurement, warehousing and logistics, or related roles.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop cross-functional teams.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Proficiency in supply chain software and tools, such as ERP systems (Epicor experience preferred).Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, or related field (desirable).Experience in transport manufacturing industry (desirable).Practical knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies (desirable).Why work for Bruce Rock Engineering?
