Wood is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager  to join our Operations business in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST). This is an opportunity to join our expanding Operations team, as part of our strategic growth plan for 2024 and beyond. Based in Perth CBD, this is a permanent role and is available on a full-time / part-time (job share) basis.
Wood "Operations" delivers Brownfield's engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Energy industry. Wood enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent Energy and LNG producers with operations in Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Southeast Asia.

RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting directly to the Delivery Manager and the APAC West – Regional Supply Chain Manager, you will step up and into a dedicated client contract team. You will be responsible for the leadership and management of a deployed supply chain project team providing all aspects of supply chain management including materials management, warehousing, expediting, procurement, subcontracts, negotiation, and reporting. Key aspects of the role include:
Directing and managing of supply chain activities for a specific project Administering, supervising, and guiding the performance of assigned supply chain personnel working within the project Clearly understanding the client's head contract requirements including, Wood responsibilities and incorporating these into appropriate project supply chain strategies, plans, procedures and terms & conditions. Understanding and managing threats to the commercial position of Wood and Client and developing risk mitigation plans Ensuring the team's regular update of reports/systems with the required information to allow accurate reporting, Escalating any critical issues and risks to the Delivery Manager. QUALIFICATIONS You must have full work rights to work in this Australian location.
Ideally, you will hold a degree or equivalent professional qualifications in Commerce, Law, Engineering, Supply Chain / Logistics from a recognised institution, have a CIPS qualification (or an industry equivalent) and have a minimum of 12 years of relevant supply chain experience, demonstrating results. You will also have:
Demonstrated experience in industry best practices in Subcontract Agreements and Framework Agreements, industry forms of Subcontract, complex tactical procurement, logistics and materials management, client contract requirements and/ or supply chain principles and techniques.  Proficiency in the use of ERP Systems (i.e. Maximo, Oracle, SAP) Be commercially astute with a "solutions mindset", skilled in negotiation and management of risk, consistent with safety and commercial requirements. Be a leader of people with several years of supervisory experience, capable of engendering an entrepreneurial spirit of cooperation and energising diverse teams to adopt best practices, driving optimal performance with safety at the heart of everything we do. Be customer-focused with an ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence to contribute to the competitive advantage of #teamwood.
