About The RoleThe Supply Chain Manager plays a pivotal role in optimising our supply chain operations and ensuring the efficient flow of materials and resources throughout the company. This position requires collaboration with various departments and stakeholders to establish and maintain an effective supply chain, manage supplier contracts, and drive improvements in efficiency and profitability.
What you will doSupply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement a global supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and ensures efficient and cost-effective operations.Resource Identification: Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources necessary for establishing and maintaining an effective supply chain.Performance Metrics: Establish performance metrics to measure, compare, and evaluate factors affecting the supply chain's efficiency.Inventory Management: Develop and maintain detailed inventories of materials and supplies across customer sites and Chrysos facilities.Optimised Supply: Maintain the required quantity of supplies and materials to optimise production processes.Process Analysis: Analyse current inventories and procedures, suggesting improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and overall company profitability.Policy Development: Develop and implement policies aimed at increasing supply chain efficiency while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.Logistics and Transportation: Plan and optimise the movement of goods through various transportation modes (air, sea, land) by identifying optimal shipment and transportation routes, emphasising warehousing and distribution consolidation.Material Handling: Assess the need for material-handling equipment and staffing, providing recommendations to optimize loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate prices for materials and commercial terms with suppliers, vendors, and shipping companies.Product Development: Act as an advisory member of the product development team, offering insights on the availability and cost of supplies and materials.Supplier Performance: Monitor supplier performance, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements, and collaborate with other departments to identify and qualify new suppliers.Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement in maintenance processes, technologies, and methodologies.Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.EssentialWho you are:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Demonstrated experience in supply chain management with people leadership, and a proven track record of optimising supply chain processes.Familiarity with supply chain software and technologies, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and data analytics tools.Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management, and logistics.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong negotiation and communication abilities.Proficiency in supply chain software and data analysis tools.Knowledge of safety and quality standards in supply chain operations.Willingness to travel to various global locations as needed and agreed.Valid rights to work.Current Driver's Licence.Able and willing to travel internationally occasionally.DesirableFamiliarity with relevant laws and regulations, particularly in industries with strict compliance requirements.Experience in process improvement through techniques like Lean, Six Sigma, or Total Quality Management.Why come and join us?
