About the Role: MAXAM has the opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Manager based at our Head Office located in Brisbane CBD.
Reporting to our Regional Director, you will:
In conjunction with business systems, reports, and production schedules, ensure the timely arrival/placement/confirmation of all material requirements;Network with business stakeholders to understand their challenges including customer engagement, fulfilment strategies, and risk requirements;Liaise with our experienced supply chain coordinator on day-to-day tasks;Conduct end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities in line with business plan, operational requirements, and market conditions;Identify strategic partnerships with suppliers and work to deliver long-term win-win relationships;Issue and distribute Supply Plan for the relevant project;Generate purchase requests for all materials, external services, packages, and subcontractor aligned with Project schedule requirement;Monitor stock levels to ensure a workable stock is constantly maintained, identifying material requirements and ensuring timely placement of purchase orders;Lead the resolution of any stock-out issues to avoid compromising production and/or customer delivery deadlines;Lodge import and export documentation to freight forwarders for clearances.About You: You must be highly organised and demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and carry out tasks with minimal supervision. In addition, you will also demonstrate:
7+ years experience in Supply Chain;Strong analytical, planning, and negotiation skills;Knowledge of Oracle and Power BI would be an advantage;Understanding and support of business drivers and strategies;Strong knowledge and understanding of requirements of planning, inventory management techniques, and general contract knowledge to manage downstream sub-contractors.Experience within the Explosives, Mining, or Construction industries is highly desired.
