Job Purpose
• Play a key role in coordinating international freight logistics.
• Manage customs clearance for incoming international shipments.
• Arrange and organize transportation for goods post-clearance.
• Ensure efficient delivery while adhering to compliance regulations.
• Work closely with shipping agents, transport companies, and customs authorities.
Key Responsibilities
As a Supply Chain Coordinator, your primary duties will include:
1. Arranging customs clearance for incoming international shipments, ensuring all documentation and regulatory requirements are met.
2. Coordinating with shipping agents, customs brokers, and transport providers to facilitate the timely movement of goods.
3. Organizing transportation for goods from ports or entry points to their final destination.
4. Monitoring shipment statuses and communicating updates to internal teams and customers.
5. Liaising with international suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
6. Managing any delays or issues in the clearance or transportation process.
7. Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export laws.
8. Maintaining accurate records and documentation for all freight movements.
9. Assisting with daily and weekly reporting on logistics activities and providing general administrative support.
Job Requirements
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an office environment, preferably related to logistics, freight coordination, or supply chain management.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Knowledge of Integrated Cargo System (ICS) is a plus.
