You'll be responsible for the secure storage, upkeep, and logistical handling of inventory, while also ensuring the seamless generation and maintenance of purchase orders. This position is Wednesday to Saturday 6am-4pm.Your day to day:Maintain optimal levels of inventory and critical spares to meet operational demandsEnsure secure and organised storerooms that is coherent to workplace safety standardsCommunicate and support the maintenance team members on processes and queries relating to inventory.Generate and coordinate purchase orders for suppliers and contractorsCoordinate delivery schedules to align with operational requirementsLiaise with the accounts department to assist with invoices discrepancies ensuring that suppliers are paid in a timely mannerWhat you'll bring:Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role is essential, preferably within a mechanical/engineering industry as product knowledge is beneficialExperience in undertaking stock takes in a high volume environment is advantageousForklift License and Manual Drivers License is essentialExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)The ability to take ownership of the role, accountability of stock movement and store accessStrong time management and organization skills, with an attention to detail and accuracyDemonstrated positive attitude and excellent work ethicAbility to work in a team and autonomouslyIntermediate computer skills with competency in the Microsoft Office SuiteAdvertised: 10 Oct 2024 E.
