About the Role Based at our Narangba Site and reporting to the Logistics Manager – East, the Warehouse Operations is responsible for the accurate receipting and data entry of incoming goods, as well as assisting in the organization and maintenance of warehouse inventory.
Key duties include conducting regular inventory cycle counts and managing Z items for the Narangba site, ensuring efficient and accurate stock control.
The Warehouse Operations will be responsible for establishing inventory control mechanisms, improving stock accuracy, and leveraging the Newcastle warehousing model for implementation.
The duties and responsibilities associated with this role will include, but are not limited to: Establish and implement inventory control disciplines and stock management mechanisms to ensure smooth handovers between the warehousing team, operations, and logistics, enhancing inventory accuracy for the Narangba site.
Take full ownership of all incoming inventory for the Narangba site, including daily receipting of delivery dockets to ensure high inventory accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with the Logistics Manager – East and Operations Manager to develop and implement a plan within the first 12 months to centralize all Z items into a single distribution point at the Narangba site, taking full responsibility for its management and execution.
Utilize the current Newcastle warehousing model for training and implementation at the Narangba site.
Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of goods.
This includes proper labelling and placement of items.
Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, including optimizing stock placement, reducing inefficiencies, and enhancing inventory accuracy.
About You We are seeking a candidate with an extensive warehousing background to share best practices and processes for a new warehousing system in Narangba.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong attention to detail, accurately receiving, recording, and managing inventory to ensure data entry and stock levels are consistently precise.
Additionally, they will possess excellent problem-solving skills, capable of identifying, investigating, and resolving discrepancies or issues related to inventory, stock levels, or warehouse processes.
Clear verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with colleagues, suppliers, and other departments.
