Role Purpose This is an exciting opportunity to join the Supply Chain Team during a pivotal stage of its development and directly contribute to its success.
The role focuses on designing, developing, maintaining, and improving tools and models to support the Planning, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, and Logistics streams within the Supply Chain Management function.
By enabling the Supply Chain function to effectively meet the operational needs of Rolling Stock and Infrastructure, the role plays a key part in helping these areas achieve their objectives through both proactive and reactive activities.
This role aligns with the vision, mission, and objectives of the broader Supply Chain function, with a specific emphasis on supporting the Supply Chain Planning team.
Responsibilities and deliverables This role has the responsibility of supporting the Supply Chain Planning function.
This role consists of the following key elements to support strategic initiatives:
Co-design and Develop Planning Tools;Co-design and Develop Analytics (e.g.
Data mining, Predictive Modelling, Machine Learning);Improve efficiency and develop insights to enable the Supply Chain Digital Transformation.Skills Demonstrated experience in PowerBI and Sharepoint Nintex formsProficiency in developing innovative Analytics.Demonstrated problem solving skills.Ability to design and develop Planning Tools, Analytics and Visual Management to support Supply Chain Planning.Committed to delivering upon agreements/ targets and promoting a collaborative approach.Supply Chain exposure (e.g.
Planning, Inventory).Passionate about Analytics promoting innovation and digitization.Experience Programming competency with technical & analytical skill (R, SAS, SQL, optimization, simulation, predictive modelling, SharePoint & Nintex Forms).Advanced Analytical knowledge, and ability to manipulate data and report through Business Analytics platforms (e.g.
Business Objects, Power BI) providing insights and meaningful data for decision making.Experience developing User Interfaces preferably in a Manufacturing/Supply Chain environment.Management of the replenishment process as triggered by part re-order points and/or project/activity planning that generates purchase requisitions.Utilisation of ERP (Maximo, SAP, JDE-Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Pronto).Experienced in managing teams within the purchasing function (planning through to expediting).Why Yarra Trams?
