About the role
The Supply Chain Analyst is a key partner to our Global Shipping team responsible for managing our global freight relationships.
You will support this team with the negotiation of our freight tenders by providing data and financial modelling.
You will provide support for monthly activities around accrual accuracy, and ensure a robust R&O is in place.
You will also be involved in other key planning cycles throughout the year.
As well as shipping, you will look after the inland distribution costs and controls and governance procedures for our Australian businesses across the SunRice Integrated Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Month end Reporting, investigation and driver-based analysis for AU shipping (FOW & PPV) and inland distribution
Manage sea freight accruals to allow invoice processing and ensure Balance Sheet accuracy of Provisions & Accruals
Forecast & Budget preparation with SunRice Group Shipping Manager and other Cost Centre Managers
Driver based variance analysis including cross-finance partners ensuring clear understanding of movements and impacts on their regional P&Ls
Reporting of results to KPI's including GAP management with agreed actions to close
Responsible for internal controls and compliance with Group policies and procedures for your area
Provide insights and recommendations for improving the efficiency, speed, and cost-effectiveness of the supply chain.
About You:
Adept at identifying issues and developing solutions, you tackle problems by using a logical, evidence-based approach.
You pay close attention to detail, ensuring you never miss crucial information.
Methodical and process driven, you have a natural curiosity for understanding how systems work and how to improve them.
You love numbers and translating data into simple, actionable information for others.
You will also have:
Relevant finance / accounting qualifications e.g.
CA/CPA and significant experience in a similar finance / accounting-based role
Experience in ERP (SAP preferred but other ERP solution is acceptable) and competency in Excel
Competency in month end, forecast and budgeting processes
Exceptional communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally and across different levels of the organisation
Experience in planning systems or inventory management would be highly regarded.
