About the role
The Vendor Coordinator's role is to assist the National Supplier Relationship Manager in delivering a comprehensive Supplier Relationship Management program and supplier governance framework for Lifeblood's key strategic suppliers.
The Supplier Relationship Management function resides within Lifeblood's Strategic Procurement department.
The Vendor Coordinator will engage with key business stakeholders to provide centralised oversight and understanding of a select group of Lifeblood's key suppliers, and support in applying the appropriate vendor governance, risk management, and key performance monitoring and reporting.
The role will provide vendor contract and management support and analysis to the National Supplier Relationship Manager and internal stakeholders in supply planning, vendor performance, contract management and risk management activities.
It will also identify cost and efficiency opportunities and assist in negotiating supplier outcomes aligned with a selection of Lifeblood's strategic suppliers.

Here's what we are looking for: Experience in managing vendor relationships, including relationship building, negotiation, and commercial acumen to facilitate effective business outcomes.Adept vendor management and coordination skills, well-developed commercial awareness to manage suppliers and resolve commercial issues.Strong relationship-building skills - ability to engage, collaborate, negotiate with and influence senior leaders and external supplier stakeholders.Ability to communicate effectively and produce clear, accurate documentation.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Relevant business qualifications and demonstrated experience in a similar vendor management environment with a minimum of 3-5 years.Demonstrated knowledge of Sourcing, Procurement or Supply Chain planning environments.Analytical skills with an ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems based on all available information.Experience in drafting and interpretation of supplier contracts highly regarded.Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to manage deadlines.This is a permanent full-time opportunity with a hybrid working environment based out of our Processing Centre in Melbourne, however we are open to candidates from other locations within Australia.
