Applications are invited for the position of Supervisor Workshop , based at Council's Inverell Workshop. The successful applicant shall be responsible for the satisfactory day-to-day running of Council's Inverell Workshop and to assist with the development & implementation of plant maintenance and repair programs to ensure the efficient operation of Council's fleet.
Selection Criteria: Qualifications: NSW School Certificate / Record of School Achievement or equivalent; Trade Certificate as Motor Mechanic, Plant Fitter or Metal Fabricator; Successful completion of an approved course for supervisors; NSW Class HR Drivers Licence; RMS, AIS Approved Examiner Certificate (Heavy and Light vehicles) and willingness to become Council's AIS Nominee; SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card (White Card). Experience: Formal qualifications and a proven track record of leadership and supervision. Experience in Fleet Management. Experience in Fleet Procurement. Three (3) years post trade experience in a similar role. Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023. The classification for the position will be up to Administrative / Technical / Trades Band 2, Level 2, Grade 12.
Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, and will be in a range from $1,396.82 to $1,504.35 gross per week.
