About the Role We are currently looking for an experienced Underground Communications Supervisor to join our Operational Technology team! This role will be responsible for supervising the one of our OT Execution team's work activities in the Olympic Dam underground operation in compliance with the weekly work schedule, operating standards, procedures, work instructions and defined processes to achieve optimal maintenance outcomes.
This role is a 7 Day, 7 off, 7 nights, 7 off roster with the opportunity for either FIFO/BIBO or Residential in Roxby downs, South Australia.
The successful candidate will be working towards the delivery of value-adding maintenance and improvement initiatives to ensure a high level of availability for our underground communications infrastructure.
Main job responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Demonstrate commitment to customer service both internal and external to be business
Coaching, mentoring and building capability within your team
Pursuing operating perfection in work practices and approach
Empowering the team to deliver and improve on results through continuous improvement
Supervising the execution of the weekly work schedule and approved break in work
Monitoring and verifying the competency of team in the safe performance of their duties
Assessing and approving and prioritising work related to communications equipment
Allocation of resources to achieve optimal maintenance outcomes
Reporting of events and hazards in a timely and accurate manner
About You As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
Cert III in Telecommunications, or background in a technical field
Proven leadership experience and capability
SAP or equivalent work management experience
Exposure to mining environments or heavy industry risk management
Equipment experience / exposure to (desirable)
Underground analogue and digital radio systems
CCTV management
Wifi and IP network understanding
PED transmission systems
Mobile HV equipment on board technologies
Proximity awareness systems
PLC networks
