No. 35026 Please note this role is for internal applicants only Queensland Metals Glencore is currently seeking to fill a current staff vacancy for a Supervisor – Tailings Operations. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa and will require you to work 7x7 roster day shift only.
The Role A vacancy currently exists within the Isa Surface Department for a Tailings Operations Supervisor. Reporting to the Isa Surface Operations Superintendent, you will establish and develop a team culture that is focused on a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner to ensure that production and statutory requirements are met. This is an excellent opportunity to further your experience and develop your technical skills and industry knowledge.
The successful candidate will be responsible for: Liaison with our Contractor Hire Equipment provider to ensure optimum availability of our equipment fleet, which includes Articulated Dump Trucks, Water trucks, Loaders, Dozers, Excavators, and Graders.Monitoring and improving the utilisation and performance of the fleet will be a key focus of this role.Managing and coordinating the Tailings operations crews to ensure construction, mining, and Tailings maintenance targets are met.Managing and maintaining the Tailings deposition and annual construction plan in line with the Tailings Operations and Maintenance manual and Deposition Model.Providing constructive leadership and promoting a positive workplace culture within your teams.You will have the following skillset and attributes: Ability to think logically and solve problems when required.Excellent communication skills and able to liaise with customers, technical experts, and suppliers.Leadership and time management skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.Proven experience in civil construction and management of mining fleet.Driven to ensure a safe working environment that is in accordance with all legislation, policies, and procedures.For further information, please contact: Applications Close: 8:00 am Thursday 05th December 2024
