The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing a broad range of aircraft component maintenance or modifications covering inspection, repair, and assembly of projects. The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures is responsible for the overall project coordination as directed by the Supervisor.
Your ResponsibilitiesSupervise maintenance carried out by other individuals and certify for completion of that maintenance.Monitor and mentor maintenance employee technical capabilities.Accountable for requesting and managing spares during projects and monitoring their ordering and arrival by Stores.Monitor for the removal of spares (un-issue) promptly.Accountable for tracking hours against schedules and notifying internal managers immediately of job overruns, including but not limited to hour, schedule, and/or costing.Contribute to identifying and raising ASRs and actioning when approved, as well as monitoring whether to action or not, rejected ASRs by the OC.Contribute to monitor the coordination of workshop slots and overall layout conducive to business requirements.Contribute to monitor paint shop projects in conjunction with the planning and project teams.Contribute to the allocation of manpower on the various projects within the facility.Contribute to employee task productivity on projects as well as general housekeeping.Accountable for booking time to projects and activities correctly.Accountable for requesting and managing tooling prior to and during all projects.Accountable for the completion of Work Checklists for all projects.Accountable for the general housekeeping on projects being coordinated.Contribute to the tool tag system at all times and report to OC if there are missing items.Contribute towards the creation and updating of work orders in a timely manner.Monitor the detail and sign-off on all work completed each day by engineers.Monthly BIT & SEQHS meeting attendance and involvement with tasked fixes.Contribute to notifying SLH of any additional resource requirements.Monitor communications with customers in relation to ASRs – Project Team is accountable and the primary communication source.Monitor and communicate with SLH, Project, and Planning Teams in relation to Components turnaround times (i.e., late or on time).Monitor the allocation and prioritization of people to identified job tasks to various projects and job tasks within the facility.Monitor maintenance employee regulatory compliance in relation to housekeeping within the Workshop.Monitor maintenance employee hours to job.Monitor and liaise with the APSS Manager and OC regarding requesting sub-contractors when required.Monitor paint shop employees on assigned projects.Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.What will help you Succeed?Broad knowledge of aircraft maintenance.Experience working in an aircraft maintenance facility performing line maintenance and modifications at a supervisory level.Demonstrated understanding of aviation regulatory requirements for aircraft maintenance.Project management of aircraft maintenance modifications.Experience in a customer-focused work environment with multiple priorities and project deadlines.Computer literate in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Outlook and Excel.Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures.Ability to work flexible schedules and in various weather conditions as well as meeting minimum physical requirements of the job.Why Jet?A competitive remuneration package.Global opportunities.Employee Assistance Program - TelusHealth.Friendly team environment.How to Apply?Your application must be submitted via SEEK and must consist of the following:
