This is a permanent position on an 8d 6x 7n 7x roster FIFO from Perth.Reporting directly to the Shutdown Services Superintendent, you will be responsible for supervising a diverse group of electrical maintenance technicians and isolation officers executing fixed plant maintenance activities in a shutdown environment.Key responsibilities include:Overseeing positioning de-energisation of fixed plant equipment & balanced machines for shutdown maintenance.
Installation of lockbox permits by correctly identifying isolation points and following lock out and zero energy confirmation processes.Execution of planned electrical maintenance activities in a shutdown environment.Re-energisation and commissioning of fixed plant equipment & balanced machines.Identifying and assessing risks, making risk-informed decisions, using BHP's risk management framework and building a risk-aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.Following the shutdown management framework to achieve required milestones within the current shutdown cycle.Driving continuous improvement within your team utilising the BHP operating system.About YouTo be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:Statutory Supervisor as prescribed in the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.Trade qualified electrician or a Bachelor degree in electrical engineering.Understanding of Fixed Plant Processing and Shutdown Maintenance in the mining industry.Knowledge of maintenance practices.Ability to identify and implement safe work practices.Proven ability to communicate and follow plans clearly and concisely.Experience with SAP and Asset Management Software will be advantageous.Experience working in a team that requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders.What's in it for you?World-class development programs.Employee Share Plan.Employee recognition Program that really gives back.Matched Super Contributions.Employee Discounts and Novated Leasing.Applications close: Thursday 16th January 2025About Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
