We're building Queensland's future CBGU JV is working on Queensland's largest infrastructure project and we're building our team for the future. South East Queensland is about to embark on a period of sustained growth in the lead up to the 2032 Olympics, and we are thrilled to be involved in developing Cross River Rail, which will forever change the way Queenslander's travel.
CBGU JV brings together CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella and UGL to deliver the Tunnel and Station Package for Brisbane's Cross River Rail, the 10.2 kilometre rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills, including 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and CBD. The project also includes construction of four new underground stations at Roma Street, Albert Street, Boggo Road and Woolloongabba, where the future upgraded Olympic stadium will stand.
All project sites and offices are based in inner city Brisbane, and what's not to love. Queensland's 'River City' is booming with activity, while still retaining its laidback lifestyle. Your Opportunity Reporting to the Superintendent, we are currently seeking an experienced Supervisor with a background in scaffolding and high risk access equipment, to join our team, taking ownership for the self-performed and sub contractor scope. Responsibilities will include:
Effectively coordinating and supervising the utilisation of all on-site resources for the project Ensuring all workers are inducted onto site before commencing work Monitoring construction and installation progress and compliance to safety and environmental standards Managing site security and material/plant deliveries and storage and general housekeeping Ensure all operations are performed in accordance with agreed safe methods of work Forward planning daily/weekly/monthly construction work including resource requirements and trade coordination Ensuring subcontracts act safety and comply with safety requirements About you Proven experience in a similar role in the Construction industry Experience managing self-performed works and sub contractors Experience on major scaffolding structures Demonstrated ability to work successfully and autonomously within a fast paced project environment and deliver on deadlines Hold proven verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain relationships across diverse stakeholders Focus and commitment to a zero harm environment One project team, building career opportunities for you.
