The overall project is more than 2 years in duration, involving significant construction upgrades to airfield asphalt pavements and related infrastructure assets.Your OpportunityJoin a leading team delivering critical infrastructure upgrades for a Defence sector project in regional WA. We are seeking an experienced Pavement Supervisor with a proven track record in granular pavements construction to supervise the delivery of airfield and MRWA pavement construction and associated infrastructure to the highest technical standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the delivery of granular pavement construction, including preparation, placement, and compaction to meet stringent MRWA and airfield standards.Lead grader crews, ensuring compliance with final trim tolerances and machine control systems (UTS/ LPS).Manage and supervise the execution of detailed excavations and subgrade preparation with precision and management of material haulage.Implement and monitor quality control processes to meet design specifications, including regular inspection, testing, and compliance.Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design and construction challenges efficiently.Drive productivity and performance within the pavements fleet and wider team while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.Minimum RequirementsAt least 5 years of supervisory experience in granular pavements construction on airfields, or major road projects.Strong technical expertise in pavement and earthworks construction, with a deep understanding of MRWA specifications and airfield compliance requirements.Proven capability in operating and supervising pugmills, grader crews, and machine control systems (e.g., TopCon, Trimble, or Leica).Experience in planning and scheduling pavement works, including resource allocation, material management, and daily work assignment.Familiarity with laboratory and field testing of pavement materials, including Particle Size Distribution (PSD), Atterberg Limits, and compaction testing.Experience in Defence and airfield project delivery is highly regarded.FIFO experience and the ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment.Strong commitment to safety and environmental management.Eligibility to meet Defence security clearance requirements (DCAC).We are always looking for ways to make CPB Contractors a more rewarding place to work and offer a unique set of benefits, including:Genuine career pathways supported through training, talent identification and professional development.Exposure across all construction sectors that enables promotion opportunities.Competitive remuneration and excellent benefits including a health and wellbeing program, discount portal and company-funded salary continuance insurance.Flexible work arrangements within a culture that values diversity, collaboration and innovation.If you are interested in this role and meet the above requirements, please apply below.All candidates shortlisted for this position will be asked to consent to a national police check and/or financial history check.
