About the Role
BHP Technology is looking for a Supervisor for our Technology Site Operations team to work at our Goonyella Riverside Mine Site in Queensland. As OT Supervisor, you will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and technical field support provided for the mine sites Operational Technology Systems. The role is a Full-Time position with BHP on a DIDO/Residential role on a Lifestyle (7/7) rotating day night roster working 12.5-hour shifts.
This is a residential (Moranbah) or BIBO/DIDO role.
Reporting to the Superintendent Technology Site Operations, your key accountabilities will include:
Site Responsible Person for Technology resources on site (permanent and contractors) and ensures your team works within Safe Systems of Work in a changing work environment.Manages and coordinates tasks and resources available on site to ensure incidents and events can be resolved in accordance with the business priorities/expectations.Review Maintenance work tasks/schedules and work with planners ensuring good work management practices are followed through computer based management system (SAP).Collaborate with other departments (Infrastructure, production, Workshops, Remote Teams, Applications, Networks and vendors) to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of the technology environment to support business systems/operations including desktops, fleet management, plant process control systems, digital radio, wireless telemetry, LTE, CCTV, Physical access management systems and videoconferencing.Works with the Technology Mines Principals, Project Managers and Engineering to facilitate site-based project activities to ensure safe execution of work and minimal disruption to operations.Acts as the escalation contact for Technology site operations issues.About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a background in Operations Technology in large-scale environments, preferably mining. You are likely to be multi-skilled and have knowledge of mining operations technology; process control, IT and OT networks, Wireless technology (LTE/Cisco), digital radio and fleet management.
A trade certificate / tertiary qualification in Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronics or similar discipline, is a mandatory requirement for this role.You will be a great people manager, leading a team of 2-20 personnel, with proven experience leading high performing team in an operational environment.As the preferred candidate, you will have outstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups at all levels.Experience of SAP Work Management and cost-control will be well regarded.You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise effectively in a high-pressure environment.You can interpret and read maintenance plans and technical information.
