Maintenance Supervisor – The Verge Retirement Village RetireAustralia invites you to become a valued Maintenance Supervisor within our warm and vibrant community at The Verge Retirement Village, overlooking the picturesque Burleigh Golf Course on a full-time basis. You will be responsible for leading a second maintenance person to provide all general repairs, overall property presentation and maintenance services across our village.
The position As a vital member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our residents enjoy a safe, comfortable, clean and beautiful living environment.
Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for:
Attending to all reactive and preventative maintenance across the village Assisting new residents with small tasks as they settle in Maintaining services, buildings, plant, equipment and overall village presentation Driving a 12-seater vehicle (for activities, shopping trips and resident excursions) Conducting meticulous inspections and upholding the village's facilities to the highest standards Coordinating trades for general maintenance tasks, including pest control measures, plumbing work, painting, flooring repairs, air-conditioning system maintenance and carpentry work Coordinating and overseeing trades contractors to ensure proficient and cost-effective management of repairs Adhering to Workplace Health and Safety standards and reporting any safety or security concerns Responding to on-call emergencies after hours We're on the lookout for someone with: Demonstrated knowledge in general maintenance and facilities management Trade Certificate (desirable) or equivalent experience Experience in working within the retirement industry is an advantage National Police Check (or ability to obtain) First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain) A full unrestricted driver's licence Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test Our benefits include the following: The wellbeing of all RetireAustralia team members is our priority and we regularly run initiatives such as safety training, wellness challenges, mental health awareness programs and a free annual flu vaccination program.
