Our Opportunity Location: Eliwana/Flying Fish, Pilbara region, Western Australia (90 km west of Tom Price), on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.
Roster: 7 days on, 7 nights on, 14 days off – FIFO from Perth and Busselton.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor – Maintenance Services / Tyres to play a critical leadership role within Fortescue's Mobile Maintenance department at Eliwana.
You will lead a diverse team and oversee both our established workshop and the new Flying Fish workshop facility set to launch in 2024.
Your goal is to ensure world-class fleet availability and create a workplace culture that embodies Fortescue's values.
This role will also be instrumental in Fortescue's ambitious transition to green energy, as part of our commitment to eliminate fossil fuel use and achieve real zero emissions across our operations by 2030.
You will help drive the adoption of green fleet technology and foster innovation within the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a diverse team, building a high-performing workforce and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Support the rollout of renewable energy-powered fleet technology, ensuring the maintenance team adapts to new processes and equipment.
Oversee maintenance operations at both Eliwana's existing workshop and the new Flying Fish facility, ensuring optimal fleet availability and reliability above KPI targets.
Review and implement weekly maintenance service plans, addressing backlog repairs and optimizing workshop efficiency.
Ensure all breakdown repairs are conducted safely and in a timely manner, adhering to Fortescue's high safety standards.
Maintain workshop facilities to high standards of cleanliness and organization, while introducing innovative technologies to enhance operations.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and ensure compliance with all relevant Mines Regulations and OH&S legislation.
Qualifications and Experience Australian-recognised trade certificate or Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing.
Proven experience supervising mobile maintenance teams on mine sites.
Strong warehouse and logistics management skills.
Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and train teams in a rapidly changing environment, particularly with reference to new technologies.
Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling is desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.
Sound understanding of Mines Regulations, OH&S, and other relevant legislation.
Familiarity with HR/IR processes and career path development.
Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
