It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.About The RoleYou will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by providing coordination of QBuild maintenance activities.Duties And Skills InvolvedProduce high quality tender and quotation documentation for building projects and prepare accurate and timely estimates, quotations and project trade packages; including material lists and construction programs.Provide a level of supervisory services in respect to the delivery of construction, maintenance and upgrade work undertaken by QBuild, including assisting in the planning and delivery of projects through the efficient supervision and development of office staff, field staff and subcontractors.Coordinate and undertake the delivery of a high quality condition assessment services for QBuild's clients, including inspections/surveys of building elements and construction materials including collecting samples of suspected asbestos containing materials for laboratory testing.Undertake inspection services including tenancy management services and maintenance referrals on behalf of Government Employee Housing.Maintain a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with current human resource practices and principles, including employment equity, anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety. Ensure application of Safety Management System, including:Participate in and facilitate WHS audits under the direction of the Regional WHS Adviser;Undertake on-site WHS inspections including plant and equipment checks;Ensure all job documentation includes safework method statement or other risk assessment documentation as appropriate;Promote and ensure a healthy and safe work environment through own practices and education and awareness raising of staff and contractors while working with the Regional WHS Advisor and QBuild WHS Manager to promote a consistent WHS approach in QBuild workplaces.Promoting QBuild products and services to existing and prospective clients through regular meetings and established forums, and identifying opportunities for new business services based on emerging economic, legislative and environmental programs.Proactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of your staff.Additional RequirementsMandatory: Current Workplace Health and Safety General Safety Induction CardDesirable: A construction industry-related trade qualification would be considered favourably.How do I apply?All applicants must be eligible to work in Australia.DescriptionInterested candidates are encouraged to review the below attached applicant guide and role description.
