About the project John Holland is GoldlinQ's nominated design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.
About the role As Supervisor you will oversee and manage the construction process on site, coordinating and directing the activities of workers, subcontractors and suppliers.
You will play a key role in ensuring that the works in your section are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities of the role include Oversee and manage the construction process, including coordinating and directing workers, subcontractors, and suppliers Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards Enforce safety regulations and building codes, and conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards or violations Manage and resolve conflicts between parties involved in the project Maintain accurate records of progress, costs, and quality control measures Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met Identify and address any issues or problems that arise during the construction process Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and permits Manage the allocation of resources, including labour, materials, and equipment Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems, reporting and procedure To be successful in this role, you will have Delivered major infrastructure projects Supervisory experience working with a large tier contractor Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities Able to work and integrate into a team As part of the team, you help us deliver on our promise to transform lives Your success is reflected in ours, so we're committed to being an employer of choice.
