Role Purpose
The purpose of the Supervisor is to manage and grow a safe, productive, and profitable geographical area.
This role is responsible to oversee and coordinate the operational activities of the traffic controller teams to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of both 'day of operations and future operational activities to meet client requirements.
This role will be based in our Victorian team out of the Tullamarine depot, however a requirement to travel between sites and depots will be involved.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and conduct site audits and maintain site presence in line with company procedures, to ensure safe and efficient running of all jobs.
Implement company approved systems to ensure traffic controllers are completing accurate site records, pre-start records, vehicle inspections, signage inspections, stocktakes as per company procedures.
Adhere to the incident reporting procedure and escalation process by immediately reporting any serious, or public interest incident to the Regional/State Manager.
Ensure all client feedback, compliments, and complaints, are escalated to the Regional Manager and company Corrective Preventive Action process is adhered.
Ensure all client requirements, documentation is completed.
Participate in client onboarding process.
Review the daily, weekly rosters.
Review rejected shifts on a daily basis.
Ensure all vehicles are road worthy.
Manage the inventory of signage on vehicles and stores.
Ensure stock take is carried out annually for each vehicle.
Contribute to revenue and expense budgeting to the build the annual P&L budget.
Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:
Proven experience as a traffic controller, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of traffic management plans and safety protocols.
Strong MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Ability to lead, motivate and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills ensuring operational activities remain on time and within budget.
Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills.
Valid traffic control certification and driver's license.
Effective communication skills and ability to give feedback (positive/ negative) to team members.
Well-honed Client relationship skills to ensure provision of excellent service.
High personal integrity.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
Ability to develop effective relationships and influence others.
