Supervisor - Fixed Plant Operations

The Role We are lookingfor a Supervisor to join us in the George Fisher Mine Fixed Plant Maintenance Team as Supervisor of Fixed Plant Operations. reporting to the Superintendent, you will be responsible for leadership and supervision of your team, and management of multiple tasks across all areas of Fixed Assets Operations. Your key responsibilities include: Compliance to the weekly schedule to achieve established KPIs and compliance with forecast costs Communicating accurate and relevant information and insight to line management on daily performance and against the weekly schedule Safety leadership for your team and others at George Fisher Mine this includes visible leadership and ensuring compliance to GFM policies, standards and procedures for the Fixed Underground Assets team Developing a positive team culture in line with Glencore values including mentoring and coaching to build employee role competency Managing the assigned operational expenses and projects to remain within budget Ensuring shift handover is successfully managed and executed Provide support to the reliability team to improve equipment reliability and operability. Optimising deployment of assigned resources and continuous improvement to minimise cost and waste The successful applicants will have: S1,2 and 3 competencies Understanding of asset maintenance systems and processes Knowledge of and experience with SAP (highly regarded) Competency in MS Office are essential Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills Supervisor experience in fixed plant and/or supervisory experience Knowledge of continuous improvement methods Strong leadership skills and an ability to learn new skills Demonstrated knowledge of Risk Management, Safety systems and legislative requirements for underground mining
