We have an exciting opportunity available for a Supervisor Fabrication Services to join the APA Networks team in Eagle Farm QLD, on a Permanent Fulltime basis.
Reporting to the Field Delivery Manager, you will be in responsible for the management of a team of welders and workshop-based staff whose role is to undertake all fabricate services for the QLD networks.
Key Responsibilities General fabrication management, including fabrication services for parties external to Networks, with potential to provide fabrication services to APA and Major Projects.
Ensure all work is performed to meet safety, environmental and legal responsibilities in accordance with standard work practices, by on-the-job monitoring and the provision of suitable training.
Provide effective leadership and supervisory management to the function, driving effective communication and change leadership.
Work closely with the Projects Team to ensure required fabrication items are on schedule and resources are being assigned to correct priorities.
Provide proactive thought leadership and strategic insights around activities contributing to the achievement of the overall APA business strategies.
Your background Technical trade or engineering background with proven Australian welding / pipe fitting industry knowledge, and AS1796 Cert 10 – Welding supervisor / Mechanical Gas Fitter, preferred.
Industry experience or knowledge of in-service live line welding and hot tapping activities.
Strong gas industry experience and demonstrated ability and knowledge in workshop fabrication and maintenance of pipelines and pipeline facilities.
Able to understand and interpret construction drawings, codes, legislation, regulations, Australian standards, and company policies.
Leader who can effectively manage internal employees and contractors.
Provide high quality advice and use analysis, experience and critical judgement to make informed decisions.
About the Team Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.
