With one of the biggest cement plants in Australia and a state-of-the-art Paste Plant approved for construction, it's an exciting time to join the team to grow your career!Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Production Surface, you will be leading a team of CAF Plant Technicians in order to meet the mine's overall backfilling requirements.Key accountabilities of the role:Leading CAF plant teams across two crews in order to meet backfilling targets for Olympic Dam MineEnsure all safe work systems, procedures and standards are adhered to through regular workplace inspectionsMaintain a safe, clean and organised workplaceProviding coaching to teams across safety, production, culture, portfolio and BOS principlesEnsure relevant BHP, Olympic Dam or department information is cascaded to CAF Plant TechniciansCoordinate CAF plant activities across stakeholders including Maintenance, Asset Integrity, Supply and othersWorking with peers to achieve CAF Plant production targets in line with plans and forecastsManage team attendance, training and performance to ensure sustained safe productionManage, investigate and escalate health & safety events as per the Event Management ProcessProvide solutions to and escalate significant production delays to ensure quick resolution.About YouProven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm's wayProven ability to influence others to drive outcomes and work within a dynamic environmentEffective communication skills with the ability to lead teamsAbility to set direction, and solve problems from the bottom upLearning agility, with a continuous improvement mindsetWillingness to learn and adaptExperience within a mining or minerals processing environmentProven experience & ability to lead diverse teams.Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a day shift 8/6 roster, with residential, FIFO or DIDO options available.About Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
