Ensuring effective service delivery. Coaching and managing the team to ensure high-quality practice. Achieving a high quality and intensive service to children and young people. Delivering responsive and best practice case management in a custodial environment. Key outcomes and accountabilities:
Support effective assessment and case co-ordination in accordance with relevant legislation and best practice. Resolve conflict situations, build staff capacity, and lead change. Provide high quality supervision to team members. Quality check reports including those presented to Courts and other relevant stakeholders. Ensure that assessments are conducted quickly and form the basis of all case planning. Continually identify partnership opportunities, manage stakeholders and utilise networks to ensure that services provided meet rehabilitation, treatment, cultural and other support needs for children and young people at Kurlana Tapa. Develop and implement procedures and policies that recognise and support the individual cultural identity needs of children and young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Note: Any other responsibilities in line with the classification level of the role as assigned by Line Manager and/or the Department. The responsibilities as specified above may be altered in accordance with the changing requirements of the role.
Special Conditions National Police Check required. Employment-related Screening Check required. Some out of hours work may be required. Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required. Must hold a current Australian issued driver's licence (equivalent to minimum class C). Role Status: Term up to 27/06/2025.
Essential Qualifications A degree level qualification in Social Work leading to eligibility for (full) membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
