Exciting Permanent Full-Time role located in Redcliffe. You will lead and manage a multidisciplinary service at the Redcliffe Laboratory ensuring that all laboratory practices comply with Pathology Queensland requirements in providing a cost-effective, quality diagnostic and efficient client-focused pathology service to the Redcliffe Hospital.Key competencies (role specific criteria)You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:Demonstrated ability to apply advanced level scientific judgement in the analysis of patient specimens leading to the verification and validation of test results and the provision of advice to the clinical unit where appropriate to ensure that the pathology service meets the requirements of the Hospital and Health Service.Demonstrated ability to provide advice to laboratory staff and Hospital and Health Service clients on a broad range of issues pertaining to service delivery and improvement opportunities for Pathology Queensland.Demonstrated ability to provide scientific services of a complex nature to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards and established principles/procedures.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships with clients and colleagues.Demonstrated well-developed level of knowledge, expertise, and skill in the management of human, financial and physical resources of a medium multidiscipline laboratory in line with the strategic direction of Pathology Queensland.About Pathology QueenslandPathology Queensland (PQ) provides diagnostic pathology services to all Hospital and Health Services (HHS) across metro, regional and remote Queensland, offering laboratory services in the disciplines of: anatomical pathology, chemical pathology, haematology, immunology, microbiology and genomics.
