About the role
We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a High Volume 2IC to oversee the day-to-day operation and ongoing development of the High-Volume Department located in our Brisbane Central Laboratory.
As the High Volume 2IC, you will be responsible for the supervision and development of employees in the department, change management to optimise operations, relationship management and management of quality standards in the department.
In this role you will lead and motivate whilst ensuring alignment with the Pathology business goals.
Oversee SRA, Referred Samples and Automation Clinical Chemistry Manage department operations and operational costs Identifying and implementation of workflow and instrumentational improvements Assist and provide data evaluation in conjunction with Manager and Operations Managers Supervision and development of employees in the department Implementing and complying with all aspects of the WHS Plan Demonstrating a visible and proactive commitment to Workplace Health and Safety Management Identify, assess and control workplace hazards and risk Ensure all practices and procedures comply with NATA regulations Working with Chief Scientists to ensure operating procedures are supported efficiently About you
To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the essential requirements:
3-5 years' experience working in a Core Laboratory (Automation & Specimen reception skills preferred but not essential) Knowledge of quality assurance systems Specialist scientific skills in Pathology Demonstrated hands-on leadership style, adaptable to a changing environment Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to be resourceful Quality and safety management Stakeholder engagement, coordination and management Compliance and assurance Commercial acumen Benefits and Wellbeing
