Future Generation Joint Venture (FGJV) is the principal contractor for Snowy Hydro's Snowy 2.0, Australia's largest committed renewable energy project.
We bring the combined engineering expertise of three companies - Italy's Webuild (formerly Salini Impregilo), Australian-based Clough and US-based Lane Construction.
Purpose of the Role: The TBM Mechanical Superintendent will be responsible for the organisation and management of the equipment needed to support the Snowy 2.0 project, particularly the commission and decommissioning.
The TBM Mechanical Superintendent will also oversee the utility/services installation on the Snowy 2.0 project.
This role will focus primarily on daily management, supervision, and coordination of the Snowy 2.0 heavy construction and tunnel-specific equipment.
Qualifications: Trade or Qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Civil EngineeringWhite CardDriving LicenseExperience: Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects worksA minimum of 10 -15 years of specific experience working as Equipment and Plant Manager in tunnel projects.Experience in the operation and maintenance on at least 1 project using pressurized face Tunnel Boring MachineExperience in basic use of Microsoft Office Suite, data and file recording.Experience in Managing Relationships, People ManagementExperience in Safety, Community and Environmental ManagementExperience in Quality Management and Planning & ResourcingStrong Fixed Plant knowledgeExperience managing major tunnelling support plants such as Slurry Plants / Waste treatment etc.Sound knowledge of civil construction materials / serviceSound knowledge of local WHS standards and regulationsAbility to supervise team members, work closely with safety and other departments to control and maintain project safety standardsDemonstrate a positive "can-do" attitude.Ability to lead and manage teamsDemonstrate initiative and creative problem-solving skillsPractical knowledge and understanding of computers and Microsoft software packages.Good communication skills, both oral and writtenSelf-motivated.Mechanical or Electrical Trade backgroundAbility to implement and follow through on multiple issues and to achieve productive resultsSound interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaborativelyAbility to work to deadlines and targets and can prioritise tasks under pressureGood organisational skills with exceptional attention to detailThe ability to work quickly, effectively and positively in a demanding environmentThe ability to work well under pressureStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to drive performance and lead a team.Sound negotiation skillsCore Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Requisitions of certain project materials, equipment and services on the projectInterprets the intent and requirements of the design documentation and informationPerforms technical administration of contracts related to Equipment or PlantControls all equipment that the company owns or leases for the project.Elaborates and updates operating costs and rental rates for bids and estimators.Maintains knowledge in federal, state, and local compliance issuesMaintains working knowledge of applicable codes and standards for a projectFinds potential issues ahead of time and is able to problem solveEnforces site safety at all timesAbility to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiencyDevelops and maintains business relationships with workers, manufacturers, dealers, project managers, equipment managers, and subcontractors #J-18808-Ljbffr
