We bring out the best in each other, inspiring performance and a shared belief that what we do matters.About the RoleOur Mobile Fleet Maintenance team is now recruiting for a self-motivated and highly experienced Superintendent - Shutdowns & Minor Projects to join Newmont Lihir Gold Mine team.This is a Residential role where you will be required to relocate to PNG and work a 5:2 roster.Your key accountabilities include:Manage and oversee the readiness for execution of all Mobile Fleet Planned Component Replacement and Midlife shutdowns.Manage the readiness, and delivery of all Field Maintenance Shutdowns.Manage the build, delivery, and commissioning of all new assets.Manage the life cycle of all Minor Projects for Fleet Maintenance Assets and facilities.Manage the condition and readiness of shutdown facilities.Assist the Fleet Maintenance Manager with budget preparation, monitoring of budget and control.Develop cost reduction strategies to achieve budget expectations.Manage a team and provide training, coaching and mentoring.Monitor and improve the Planned Component Replacement and Midlife readiness.Continually monitor and improve the readiness and delivery of Field Maintenance shutdowns.Extensive experience working in a large-scale mining/mineral processing operation and in Mobile Fleet Maintenance.Previous experience in delivery of Shutdowns and Minor Projects.Trade Qualification in a relevant Mechanical or Electrical trade.Experience leading a team in a diverse cultural environment.Experience engaging with National workforce and ability to foster individuals' skills and capabilities.Ability to apply engineering principles to develop solutions.Experience with SAP and proficiency with Microsoft office suite.High attention to detail with good time management skills.Strong active listening & interpersonal skills for rapport building.Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.Project Management certification.Relevant Tertiary qualification.
