Reporting to the Manager Rail Maintenance, you will be responsible for the execution of maintenance and quality assurance activities to ensure the technical integrity of rolling stock and workshop equipment About you: You will be an experienced leader in locomotive, wagon or similar industry with a keen drive to maintain and improve overall maintenance functions for an imperative part of our operation in our assets and movement of material to the Port.
As a key stakeholder between mine and port, you will be collaborative in your approach to achieving business targets.
Duties: Review and provide locomotive, wagon fleet and asset inspections, repairs and maintenance data to scheduled delivery targets Ensure compliance with all training and safety systems required for Roy Hill and contractor staff under rolling stock control Monitor team performance and positively influence towards accountability Skills and Experience: Demonstrated experience in a leadership role across maintenance of scheduled and unscheduled activity, with a strong safety focus Extensive experience in a heavy equipment maintenance environment in mining or resources sector Tertiary Qualification in Engineering or similar technical field desirable Advanced level of written and verbal communication skills with ability to navigate reporting systems, Microsoft applications and lead meetings Port Hedland Facilities: Modern, comfortable camp accommodation Convenient walking access to South Hedland town facilities and shops High quality gourmet food options (vegan, gluten free and healthy options) Fully equipped fitness centre facility In-room entertainment with comprehensive content and own-device casting capability Active social club with community events and activities for employees Lifestyle, Learning and Recreation initiative which provide events for your family Village shop and extensive supporting amenities About the Company: Roy Hill is a world class mining company, leading the way through innovative, integrated mining rail and port operations, to export iron ore safely and efficiently from West Australia's Pilbara region.
