About the RoleYou will lead a team of Project Construction & Commissioning Specialists to provide safe execution of the Olympic Dam Small Project portfolio.
To be successful in this role you will have a solid project management understanding and be a collaborative communicator with the ability to manage multiple business priorities simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal skills are essential to allow you to influence while also enabling you to build collaborative team relationships, communicate across all business areas at all levels and ensure the best outcome for the business.
You will thrive in continuously changing and ambiguous environments and adapt to ensure focus is on the value-add activities for the department.
You will be action oriented and strategically focused with problem solving, decision making and influencing skills.
This position is rostered Monday-Friday and can be site based at Olympic Dam or in Adelaide with regular site travel. In this role you will:
Foster an inclusive team culture of care where team members feel safe, enabled & engaged.Demonstrate a commitment to safety by actively engaging in the BHP Field Leadership program.Lead a small team and manage project resources to ensure the project portfolio can be successfully delivered in accordance with relevant processes, standards, and performance targets for HSE and Cost.Manage and support construction contracting partners to enable safe and efficient project delivery in both underground and surface environments.Engage with stakeholders and business partners working towards shared outcomes.Identify and assess project risks and use the BHP framework to build a risk aware culture that enables safe and productive outcomes.About YouRelevant tertiary qualification in a business/engineering/trade-related discipline or demonstrated equivalent business experience.Demonstrated experience and success in team leadership roles.Development and delivery of multi-disciplined and complex brownfield projects, portfolios, programs.Strong problem-solving skills in plant construction and commissioning.Strong desire for continual improvement and simplification through innovation.Ability to manage internal stakeholders and external consultants and contractors through a program of multiple capital projects.Excellent communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, concise reporting to senior BHP business leaders.Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing abilities.Advanced Excel, MS Project, Power BI and SAP skills will be highly regarded.
