We're looking for passionate, skilled professionals to contribute to this high-impact project and help drive its success.Reporting to the Manager: Geology at Gruyere, you will be responsible for overseeing the safety, technical, and administrative functions of the department by leading a group of skilled and motivated mining professionals and contractors in the achievement of sustainable mine geology disciplines.This role would be offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off, 4 days on, 4 days off roster Fly in Fly out from Perth.Benefits include:Private Health InsuranceShort term annual bonusLong-term incentive planIncreased annual leave entitlementsLong service leave pro rata after 5 years of continuous serviceAbout the role:Ensure appropriate standards are met in the collection of geological data, sampling data, QAQC, and the geological interpretation of Resource and Grade Control models;Collate information that will form the basis of ensuring the achievement of planned short-term (monthly plan) and medium-term (strategic/operations plan) production and safety targets;Defining, implementing, and monitoring mine-based exploration and mine definition programs to improve the LOM;Contributing towards enhancing and discovering additional Reserves and Resources through close cooperation and interaction with the Mine and Resource Geology Teams;Facilitating the optimisation of systems, processes, and practices, regularly reviewing and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives;Support ongoing development of the Mine Geology team while working collaboratively with other stakeholders;Ensure drilling contractors deliver Safe Production through quality Leadership, systems, and KPI's.About you:Bachelor of Science degree in Geology or a related discipline is essential, with an Honours Degree highly desirableStrong, energetic, and demonstrated leadership experience within a large and dynamic team environment is essentialExtensive mining industry experience - preferably in precious metals with a focus on mine geology, QAQC, Resource and Grade Control estimation, and extensional explorationSignificant experience with open pit mine geology requirementsPrior experience with Behavioural Based Safety Programs and Business Improvement processes would be highly regardedExposure to a variety of different ore body types and models as well as different mining methods and associated economicsGold Fields is committed to achieving an inclusive workforce.
