About the RoleReporting to the Inland Conveyor Maintenance Manager, you will be based in the Pilbara region looking after a dynamic roaming team who provide mechanical Conveyor maintenance services across WAIO sites. You will work a FIFO roster and travel between all sites in the Pilbara.
You will provide direct leadership to Supervisors and Technical Specialists (Coordinators) overseeing compliance with maintenance standards, procedures, systems, process, work instructions and defined mastery verification process to achieve optimal performance outcomes while safely executing the Conveyor Maintenance works both in a shutdown and weekly modular environment.

Your duties will include:
Follow the BHP Charter, Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.Set and maintain clear safety standards with your team.Lead safety investigations and risk assessments and provide quality reviews.Build capability through coaching, mentoring and provide technical advice and support to your team of maintenance technicians.Lead and support continuous improvement opportunities.Coordination of mechanical maintenance and routine inspection activities of conveyors.Working with multiple internal stakeholders and contract service partners in both baseload weekly and shutdown work.Management of maintenance work strategies and performance metric reporting.About YouThe successful candidate will possess the following: Strong communication skills and a track record of achieving results through using your influence.The ability to successfully lead and work within a team environment and build effective working relationships.Experience or a fast learner with work management software tools (e.g. 1SAP).Five years' experience in fixed plant maintenance or equivalent maintenance experience, with particular experience in fixed plant maintenance Conveyors.Experience in a Shutdown Environment is highly desirable.Experience in detailed scoping and maintenance planning for multi-disciplined workgroups operating in a Fixed Plant Maintenance environment within conveyor Maintenance is preferred but not essential.Demonstrated computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project).Minimum of C class manual drivers licence.About Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
