Sunrise Health Service Aboriginal Corporation has operated since 2003 and is the second largest Aboriginal Community Controlled Health organisation in the Northern Territory.

Based in Katherine, Sunrise Health Service services 9 remote communities east of Katherine.
We serve a population base predominantly Aboriginal, of approximately 3,800 people - many with chronic illnesses requiring early detection and amelioration.

About the Opportunity
The Training Support Officer will be responsible for inducting, supporting, and training the community-based ancillary employees in the efficient and effective use of Sunrise Health Service process, policy and systems.
Induction, training and support of the non-clinical roles is crucial to the smooth running of the clinics in facilitating culturally appropriate care and can be key in facilitating best practice care by clinicians.
The role will support and train staff through the change management of policy and process and administrate and report on the mandatory training requirements and Learning Management System across the organisation.

About You!

While we don't require specific experience for this role, the ideal candidate would portray the following qualities:
Excellent and strong relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships in community.
TAE40116 training qualification or equivalent experience writing and delivering training programs and the ability to obtain the qualification.
Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent experience, or Certificate III in Health Administration.
Demonstrated experience working unsupervised and as part of a team.
