Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Training Coordinator is responsible for managing the training function of the Department in conjunction with the training team on requirements and compliance to company procedures. Ensuring all team members understand and adhere to all WHS&E, HR and QA requirements.
Key responsibilities:
Participate in a dynamic team environment with other trainers to facilitate Swicker's training needs. Support and facilitate Department Induction for all New Starters (e.g. familiarise with entry/exit procedures). Ensure we continue to meet budget expectations, stay with agreed spending allocations, look for continuous improvement in the training budget and associated costs with the team. Ensure that all new plant and equipment has the appropriate risk control measures in place (i.e. Risk Assessment in conjunction with the WH&S team and develop Work instructions and SOPs on a new piece of plant and machinery). Ensure that the knife sharpening area is to be maintained and staffed accordingly to ensure staff support and new starters are receiving the correct knife training skill set required for all tasks. Ensure compliance with the Swickers Company Training Procedures. Ensure that NO employee undertakes a new task without the development and commencement of an appropriate training program. Ensure weekly team meetings occur with dedicated KPI Targets for each department trainer. Assist in development of new QSWI's and SOP's as required. Accurate record keeping ensuring updated training matrices and training files are maintained. Participate in meetings and provide feedback regarding training requirements and outcomes. Ensure that General Evacuation Instructions are completed for all employees annually and that documented records are kept on file. Provide weekly training reports to plant manager. Participate in all training meetings when required. Assist with the development and delivery of training programs when required. Ensure adherence to Instrument of Delegations and all other company policies. Participate in the Section, Mentor and Supervising of "Buddy Trainers". Ensure that all maintenance records, training and compliance is met and kept up to date. Complete department inductions when required. Take an active role in WHS investigations and investigate any injuries relating to incorrect procedures in conjunction with the plant manager. Provide weekly/Monthly reports to the Plant Manager on all Training progress for the site and training programs. Participate in any other meetings when required by the plant manager. Ensure all training data is input into the site's main compliance software for ease of tracking and traceability and auditing purposes. Assist with the development and delivery of training programs for the site. Work towards a continuous improvement action plan to drive better outcomes for the main workforce to reduce injury to workers and knife sharpening/handling procedures. Ensure adherence to Instrument of Delegations and all other company policies. Carry out any other reasonable and lawful directions that may be given from time to time by the company. Clear and precise communication skills at all levels. A working knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety, and Quality Assurance principles. An ability to understand and follow policies and procedures. Sound computer skills including a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. The ability to work within a team environment.
