We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team and help us maintain a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environment for all.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the CEO, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and completing the day-to-day maintenance and safety of the entire residential aged care facility. This includes ensuring the facility and associated business is compliant with safety regulations, conducting regular inspections, managing the maintenance team, and ensuring all physical aspects of the home are in excellent aesthetic working condition.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Oversee, complete or coordinate routine maintenance and repairs of the facility, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building upkeep. Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements, including fire safety, emergency procedures, and infection control. Manage and undertake inspection & delivery of statutory, preventative & corrective maintenance of the facility. Coordinate with external contractors for larger maintenance projects or specialist services as needed. Manage and monitor maintenance budgets, providing cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards. Assist in managing facility upgrades and refurbishments as required. Maintenance record keeping. Prompt response to emergency maintenance requests and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner. Collaborate with the facility management and clinical teams to ensure resident safety and comfort. Asset management. Key Requirements: Hands-on experience of building maintenance work and procedures. Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and safety protocols. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills. Knowledge & application of relevant legislation requirements, codes & standards. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive and hands-on approach to maintenance and repairs. Trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g., electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.) highly valued. Current police check (or willingness to obtain one). Full Australian working right is essential. Compliance with Vaccination requirements in Residential Aged Care. Why Join Us?
