Working as a Lawyer in our team, you'll provide legal advice and guidance to the Consumer Insurance business of a large general insurer, ensuring that Suncorp's interests are protected in a complex regulatory environment. Your advice will be central to product development, regulatory compliance, claims and distribution, enabling our business to adapt, innovate, and comply with key regulatory standards.
What You'll Do Provide high-quality legal advice in respect of the interpretation and drafting of product disclosure statements Review, draft and advise on contractual documentation Provide guidance on compliance with financial services legislation and obligations under privacy laws Provide advice on the insurer's liability on consumer claims and advice on the application of the Insurance Contracts Act Partner with stakeholders on review of customer-facing materials including marketing, websites, and customer portals What You'll Bring Practising Certificate and admission as a Solicitor or Barrister in any Australian Court 2 years plus post-admission experience, preferably within a top-tier law firm, a general insurer or the financial services industry Strong academic record Strong analytical abilities Exceptional communication skills What we can offer Discounts and offers on a range of retail favourite stores as well as insurance products Give back to our communities with payroll giving, donation matching and paid volunteer leave Invest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programs Prioritise your work/life balance with our robust employee assistance program and dedicated employee council At Suncorp, we believe we are our best when our workforce is as diverse, talented and passionate as the communities in which we live and operate, and where our people feel included, valued and connected.
