What You'll Be DoingAs a Mechanical Fitter, your daily responsibilities will include:
Mechanical repair of LV, MV, and HV electrical rotating machinery.Working on high-speed rotating equipment, especially steam and gas turbines.Replacing or repairing worn or defective mechanical assemblies like shafts, gears, seals, impellers, fans, and bearing fits.Conducting mechanical repairs on shafts, journals, and housings.Correctly requisitioning items from stores/purchasing, as approved by your Supervisor.Cleaning electromechanical equipment assemblies using various methods (parts washers, steamers, caustic tanks, grit blasters, etc.)What You'll Bring to SulzerTo succeed in this role, you'll ideally have: Trade Certificate III Fitter & Turner or similar.Demonstrated experience in mechanical fitting large equipment such as motors, generators, pumps, fans, gearboxes, and turbines.A customer service focus with adaptability.Why Work With Us?Site allowances for field work.Competitive hourly rate.Employee Assistance Program.On-site car parking.Be part of a global organization that values innovation, excellence, and a commitment to our people and customers.Ready to join a team that empowers you to deliver superior results and create a lasting impact?
