The Workforce Partnerships and Professional Development Team at the Mackay Community Health Centre is seeking applications for a Suicide Prevention Coordinator (Senior Health Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Consultant) to join their team on a temporary basis.
Your opportunity:
The Suicide Prevention Coordinator (Clinical Nurse Consultant) is accountable at an advanced practice level for the coordination of clinical practice delivered within the Workforce Partnerships and Professional Development Team within the Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service Division. The Suicide Prevention Coordinator (Clinical Nurse Consultant) will coordinate and lead suicide prevention activities based on the Zero Suicide in Healthcare Framework. The position will work with clinical services to strengthen systems across the MHHS in response to self-harm, suicidal ideation, suicide attempts, and post-vention. The position will be responsible for key deliverables and timeframes associated with the Zero Suicide in Healthcare workplan, maintenance of a local governance structure, data collection and analysis, evaluation and communication across multidisciplinary teams, and service redesign support. About the Team:
Staff members of the Workforce Partnerships and Professional Development Team work within a multi-disciplinary team framework to deliver high-quality services safely and with a robust culture of continuing improvement. Staff work collaboratively with each other and with consumers, their families/carers, and external service providers.
