The Role You will maintain the cleanliness within the Greater City of Bendigo by suction sweeping curb, channel and road pavements in the CBD's urban and rural areas in accordance with service standards.
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mechanical plant equipment and ensuring the vehicles are kept clean and maintained in accordance with workshop schedules. You will also assist in cleaning brick and bluestone gutters, roundabouts, splinter islands, bus shelters, school crossings and mediums.
Early starts will be undertaken as required. Shifts are from 5:00am – 2:00pm weekdays (Monday - Friday) and a regular overtime roster (including Saturdays and/or Sundays and/or Public Holidays).
About You As the successful applicant, you will have a trade certificate and/or relevant knowledge and skills associated with suction sweeping. You will also have a current drivers license with Heavy Rigid (HR) endorsement.
A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
