Mills Recruitment is seeking a professional and adept Sub Contract Professional to join our client in Perth on a 12 month contract.
Our Client Delivers projects in every Australian state and territory across a portfolio spanning mines, minerals processing facilities, LNG installations, refineries, chemical plants, power stations, procurement services, and telecommunications infrastructure.
The Position As Contracts Professional, you will participate in contract formation and/or administration of contracts and subcontracts required to support your assigned project.
Contract formation includes leading preparation and review of bid request packages and developing project contracts operating procedures.
Contract administration includes continual progress review, forecasting, managing variations, communication with contractors and internal stakeholders, and communication of difficulties.
Your work will ensure Contract compliance with project requirements.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Implementing the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule which records the Project's agreed assignment of various Contract management tasks and the Standard Work Process Procedures applicable to Contract Administration.
Administer assigned Contracts maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties.
Administering complex contract changes by negotiating with customer personnel and obtaining settlement.
Lead preparation of bid request packages, addenda, and other bid cycle correspondence to ensure proper format, content and project requirements are met Reviewing and recommends bid selections that require higher approval authority.
Developing, monitoring and maintaining project master contracts forms, including legal and commercial terms and conditions to be included in the project contracts documents.
Directing negotiations and prepares proposed negotiating plan in the commitment and resolution of commercial conditions of contracts when such action is agreed as necessary by the designated supervisor What you will require: A Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience Broad experience in the formation, negotiation and award of all types of contracts, Experience in developing complex contract types, fee arrangements, terms and conditions.
Working knowledge of change management procedures pertaining to Requests for Information (RFIs), change notices, change orders, amendments, and claims and dispute resolution Skilled in working and communicating effectively with all levels of project functional groups Experienced in supervising personnel, workload distribution and execution of work.
