```html The Role The APS6 SUAS Electrical Engineer will be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex electronics-electrical engineering work within an integrated workforce.
They are accountable to ensure they have knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements.
Routine duties of the SUAS Electrical Engineer will include: Investigate electrical/electronics and engineering concepts Deliver and manage specifications and resources in support of the Defence materiel capability lifecycle Investigate, analyse and report on electrical-electronics engineering defects and requirements Develop and implement recommendations and advice to address issues.
The SUAS Electrical Engineer will work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of their work.
They will exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures.
They will provide detailed electronics-electrical engineering technical and professional advice in relation to complex work and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.
The SUAS Electrical Engineer will have considerable level of stakeholder engagement and will liaise with stakeholders in relation to complex issues.
They will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders' needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.
They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
About our Team The Cargo Helicopter and Uncrewed Surveillance Program Office (CHUSPO) delivers through-life support for the CH-47F Chinook and Army Aviation System Branch supported fleet of Uncrewed Aerial Systems.
The Program Office is made up of the: Cargo Helicopter Management Unit (CHMU) The Uncrewed Aerial Systems Management Unit (UASMU) The Engineering Management Unit (EMU) The Army Uncrewed Aerial Systems Program Office (AUASPO) The Business Management Unit (BMU).
AUASPO is the primary acquisition agency supporting Army's Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) capability requirements.
We manage and deliver the acquisition of a range of UAS, including operator and aircrew training systems for Army, and work with industry to understand the latest developments in UAS technology and applications.

Perform critical and complex engineering activities and provide advice in the field of electronics-electrical engineering under broad direction Apply electrical-electronics engineering knowledge and experience to identify issues and take these into account in planning, decision making and priority setting.
Work with broad supervision to identify issues and solve problems; whilst tailoring their communication style and language to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Evaluate that the delivered materiel meets requirements and legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks, provide recommendations and contribute to the implementation of actions.
Monitor and ensure safety aspects of uncrewed aerial systems are considered and incorporated into electronics-electrical engineering activities.
Build and sustain positive relationships with team members, and actively participate in teamwork.
Manage workflows, resources, and work area plans detailing measurable milestones and expected outcomes.
